Yellowstone Itinerary iOS App Effective May 29, 2026
The short version

We don't collect your data. Full stop.

1. Introduction

Yellowstone Itinerary ("the App") is a personal trip-planning tool for Yellowstone National Park, built by travelers for travelers. We designed it from the ground up to work entirely on your device, without requiring any personal information from you.

This policy describes what data the App touches, how it is used, and the very limited circumstances under which any network request is made.

2. Information We Collect

Stored locally on your device

Not collected — ever

We have no access to any data stored on your device. It lives there and only there.

3. How We Use Information

All data the App stores is used exclusively to deliver the features you interact with directly — saving itineraries, remembering your preferences, and caching park information for offline use. None of it is transmitted to us or any third party.

4. Network Usage

The App may make one category of network request: fetching current park data (operating hours, road conditions, alerts) directly from the National Park Service at nps.gov. This request is made on your behalf and no information about you is included in it.

No other network requests are made by the App under any circumstances. There are no analytics pings, no ad-network calls, no telemetry of any kind.

5. Children's Privacy

Because we collect no personal information from anyone, the App is safe for users of all ages by design. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, nor from anyone else.

6. Data Security & Retention

Data stored on your device is protected by iOS's built-in encryption and your device's lock-screen security. We have no control over and no access to that data.

Your data persists on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App entirely. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data.

7. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media SDKs, or tracking services.

When the App fetches data from the National Park Service, that request is subject to the NPS Privacy Policy.

8. Your Rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf. You control all data directly on your own device through the App's settings or by uninstalling the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Any future change that involves collecting personal data would require a materially updated policy and explicit notice within the App before any such collection begins.
